Phillip Korth is a playwright, actor, craftsman, and educator. His play ‘War Wound’ was a finalist for the 2020 Arts in the Armed Forces Bridge Award and was previously a finalist for the 2012 Eugene O’Neill Theater Center’s National Playwrights Conference. He is a graduate of Western Michigan University, where he received BAs in Theatre Performance and Creative Writing, and the University of Connecticut, where he earned his MFA in Acting. Phillip is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served two tours of duty in Iraq. He currently lives in southern California and teaches at Pacific Ridge School in Carlsbad.
VetRep is thrilled to present “God of Carnage” by Yazmina Reza for the month of September. A playground altercation between eleven-year-old boys brings together two sets of Brooklyn parents for a meeting to resolve the matter. At first, diplomatic niceties are observed, but as the meeting progresses, and the rum flows, tensions emerge and the gloves come off, leaving the couples with more than just their liberal principles in tatters.

We are currently offering two recurring classes, Acting for Beginners (in person) and Playwrighting for Veterans (online). Our Acting for Beginners class is offered weekly every Saturday from 10am-12pm. Playwrighting for Veterans is offered every third Wednesday of the month from 7-8:30pm. Scholarships for qualifying veterans, as well as multi-class passes are available. Registration details can be found here.
