As we embark on the next chapter of our growth, we invite you to join us in supporting our expansion plans and the Veterans Apprenticeship, Internship and Part-Time Jobs Program. We've secured iconic locations such as the Mechanics Savings Bank in Beacon, NY, and the historic Lemon Building in Cornwall, NY, totaling over 15,000 sq ft. of what will become performance spaces, art galleries, and community hubs. We anticipate programming both sites all 12 months each year, meaning that we have an opportunity to provide up to 50 apprenticeships, internships, and part-time jobs to veterans and immediate family members.
Our proposed apprenticeship, internship and part-time jobs program represents a fresh approach to both advancing our organizational objectives and supporting veterans in the arts. It addresses a notable gap by providing specialized training in theater production, an area often overlooked in veteran support initiatives. We also aim to create an inclusive environment that encourages veterans to participate across various theater roles, be it backstage, front-of-house, or within the rehearsal space.
Our program's overarching vision is to offer a comprehensive apprenticeship curriculum tailored to veterans' needs. We will provide practical training in a range of theater production aspects, including stage management, lighting design, set construction, and more. To ensure a seamless experience, we will appoint a dedicated program coordinator to guide participants through each phase. Internship positions are available for those interested in learning the general operations of VetRep. Additionally, there will be a variety of part-time jobs available, many of which will be based upon events and programming.
Your support for VetRep is an investment in a brighter future for our veterans and the cultural landscape. Together, we can create meaningful opportunities, challenge stereotypes, and enrich lives through the power of theater.
