BRAT by Jason Pizzarello, starring Edie Falco, directed by Bob Balaban starts this week!

Folks,

I’m not going to lie, it’s a big week for us. Tonight, we have the Parlor, which is always a blast. But come Monday, we dive into rehearsals for our workshop readings of Jason Pizzarello’s Brat. To be in a rehearsal room with Edie Falco, Bob Balaban and Leonidas Ocampo, developing our first full-length playwriting competition winner is a real dream come true. It’s a testament to Jason’s script that Edie and Bob fell in love with it as much as they have - even to champion it to a point where we had to throw together the workshop reading performances we’ll be doing April 14-16 with our friends at Penguin Rep Theatre. Bob will be doing talkbacks with Jason after almost every performance - so get your tickets now. It’s a great chance to not only see how the sausage is made when it comes to developing a top-notch show, but also to pick the brains of one of showbiz’ wisest, nicest, and most intelligent talents. Honestly - and I think I can speak for Bob and Jason on this - the most exciting person to show up at Penguin Rep Theatre for these performances is, well, you.
