those porcelain dolls,
paralyzed for the fall
so fragile, it’s true
superglue smiles
hold it together
for the next
a locket on their neck
soon to forget

he loved them just right.
he loved them so light.
he left in the dark, dark night.

you’re stone and cast iron
a fist full of great pain
we dance in the rain
run for the valleys
with dirt on your knees
set us free
the ache you crave
it’s in my name
