I asked the stars, what I may become
but did not wait for their reply
I reached out to, a great unknown,
barely glanced back, at the sky.
I danced inside the blackness
of an empty, hollowness,
and continued marking waypoints
inside unknown, abyss.
I waited not, her faint response
a glimmer shining through;
the doldrums of uncertainty
and self, I’d not recuse.
I knew then, as certain now,
as ever, I have been,
that I’m only resurrected
just to die alone again.
Existing only as an echo,
I can never walk amongst,
to fade away, and once more,
be nothing, but stardust.
