I don't remember our inside jokes Or the smell of your hair and clothes. I will try to forget all the little things You did that I loved about you. Burning the physical remnants of our tangible connection, Feeling lost in this perpetual state of illusion. But what cannot be stripped away Are the agonizing thoughts of you and I. Daydreaming brings insanity. With sleep comes a maelstrom of visions. Visions so real I can touch you. Why can't I betray you?
Native Rhode Islander and self-proclaimed Renaissance Man, Iraq veteran Benjamin Fortier is a multi-talented writer, musician, and technology geek. He is currently in school (again) studying computer networking and cybersecurity. His day job is in service to his rescue dog, Princess Peppa Pig the American Bully.
