toast is burnt
coffee is cold, again
life’s asking for something
to which he’ll give
it’s the peaceful ways
burning houses
wearing out tires
planting gardens
it’s other people
whom we’re reflected
so if all is right
we’ll like what they see
as planes will take us
to dreamt of places
so will she
if she decides it
i love her this way
like trees
in all their seasons
vibrant or resting
