I live dangerously
And what I mean is that
On the public metro I put in both headphones
And turn the music all the way up
Until the hair on the back of my neck
Lays down
I mean that I run at night
Alone and slow
I live like I don’t mind
Strangers in my home
I lock the door but leave the windows open
I drive without my seatbelt on
It’s the little things
Like swaying in the leather seat
When I hit the brakes
A little too hard and think
I could break through that windshield if I just hit something hard enough
I live dangerously
Like touching a hot stove
But I’ve been reaching for burners so long
My nerves are all burnt out
And I think I will need
To play Russian roulette with 5 bullets
If I am going to feel
Anything at all
