One More VetRep Review for 2023
We have a lot to be grateful for as 2023 comes to a close.
In 2023, we staged 37 performances, surpassed 5,000 downloads of the Savage Wonder podcast and 800 subscribers to the Savage Wonder literary blog, sold out every performance at our Parlor and were seen in-person by over 1,000 audience members. Not terrible for a 16-seat start-up theater founded in 2021.
And we platformed 131 veteran artists, with dozens being featured regularly on this very blog. Of course, we don’t care about quantity, we care about quality. But we were incredibly grateful to work with 131 inspired, professional artists creating theater, live performances, and individual pieces that left an indelible mark on our little corner of the culture.
As a 501(c)3 nonprofit, we couldn’t do this without you. From our veteran jobs program tied to our upcoming site at 1 Angola Road to our acting classes to further developing our resident artists’ work, your donation helps us make a lasting cultural impact by developing and producing veteran writers and artists for mainstream consumption. You can continue to support VetRep in a variety of ways, such as subscribing to this blog, sharing posts with your friends, attending our shows, and of course, donating at this link.
Thank you to everyone who made 2023 special. And just wait until you see what we have coming in 2024. Here’s hoping your New Year will be as whimsical, hilarious, jarring and absurd as we are.
