On the islands
There is a tale
That predates man.
Of Spirits in the marsh.
Calling,
Like sirens in the wind.
Beckoning,
To the lost,
And damned.
I Hear them through the marsh.
Welcoming me
To join them.
I bring a glass,
To appease their thirst.
But,
it’s just for me.
We all sit by the fire
On these haunted nights.
Trying to resolve
Old fights
With demons,
And ghosts,
On these damn forgotten coasts.
Because on haunted nights,
We touch the void
Between the worlds.
It’s good to see you old friend,
Hopefully it won’t happen again.
