when your head
and your heart scream?
when the burning
meets the yearning
meets the unbearable strain
of growing pain?
a seed is planted
but it must crack
o p e n
must explode
must die,
although it’s afraid,
for a tree to be born.
and in this case,
I’m still learning how
to
die
