i realized
just the other day,
that the foundation for war,
for the brutal, knife
plunging
bullet firing
heart racing
jaw dropping
violence that is conducted
like a symphony
is love.
for as the book says
greater love hath no man
than those who would enter the gates of hell
itself
in place
of those they love.
