Listen, when you find me you’ll worry that you’re too much….
Too hard. Too hopeless. Too cold.
You’ll see the sugary sweetness and warmth of me and the open arms of my understanding and wonder if my skin is thick enough.
If my limits have ever been truly tested.
If my sin is your sin.
But, hear me out, sir.. I know of your forbidden fruit. I know it’s tainted and taboo and most girls would run.
I know your nights are darker than most, that you know what it means to cut into flesh in the name of something greater than yourself. To squeeze a trigger looking in the eyes of a stranger. I understand that the feeling and the sound of it will always ring in your ears. And you are terrified this will be your undoing.
But I am no meek and fragile being. Scared is not a word I use for death, for depth, for blood.
I am a shapeshifter. A healer and a heathen.
A woman and a wolf in a cunning sheep’s clothing.
So, bring me to your darkest hour.
I was made for this.
You are the only kind of man I know how to love.
