I don’t do resolutions
It is the end of another year
A single day coming
Another day gone
No, I won’t make a resolution
I’ll think on what I have and
Remember what I learned
And I learned a great deal
No longer do I meet this day
Hungover in my bed
Nor is there a list of all
The goals I will never keep
Still don’t know where it is
That I will go or what
I will do when I get there
What I understand, though
Is where and who
I don’t want to be
No, I made no resolution
Just proud to have survived
Another uncertain, chaotic year
Still not sure what I am doing
But I’m grateful I’m still here

I have been enjoying this Substack and the podcast so much over the last few weeks! What a great find! As an Active Duty Air Force member, its been difficult to find more Veterans artists. This is great!
