hello there, stranger
there is no danger
I am a friend in disguise
follow my lead
try not to bleed
you're in for a big surprise
beyond the dawn
a war rages on
and we were meant to fight
side by side
I hate to confide
that I am not even sure we're right
once the sun is set
we bury our regret
and try to find something to cling to
and in the dark we grieve
for the friends we leave
and look for friends who are new
so if tomorrow I die
don't question why
just grab the next stranger to arrive
and wait for the sun
and be ready to run
and be grateful you are still alive
