Have you heard the sirens song
when there’s no siren to be found?
Have you felt a ghostly presence
without a death to mourn?
Can you still hear the calling?
Feel the chill in your bones?
The song turns to howling,
the chill replaced
by ice cold hands
gripped tightly,
around your throat,
choking back the words
you wish you’d spoke.
