There was a gun.
On my night stand.
I kept it loaded.
It was a smith and Wesson brand.
Some say that I am high risk.
And that I neglect the safety switch.
I tell them, I’ve seen the face of the enemy.
I’ve seen what they’ve done.
And that I pray for one day that the terrorists come.
Through doors of my house
So I can empty a full magazine
Into their man dress blouse
The odds may be against me
They may be slim
But I’ll always be prepared
To make their lights dim
