I’m stuck beneath the West Virginia woods.
I like it here,
Even more than lukewarm beer.
You know,
The type that sits on the wooden table.
As you sit with an unmoving pencil.
The fire cracks and yawns.
While you go search for another one.
That other thing being a replacement,
For a decadent arrangement.
You hid it deep in your heart.
Saving it for that special spark.
It may never come,
It may never last.
But you sit there trying to bring back the past
