Growling in the dark bearing its razor sharp teeth scratching at the escape hatch that was buried deep beneath beneath the hours of silence beneath the confident nod beneath the stoic stares were horrors strange and odd a swirling, writhing mass of ancient, ugly things and a howling, gurgling song that only a monster sings rising up in the night and waking me from my sleep are the untold miseries of dying gods that echo from the deep I am the cork in the bottle that keeps the beasties at bay I am the wall they call prison that keeps them from the light of day sometimes I am deeply tempted to unleash the hells I know to let the dam collapse to let the retching foulness go but I suppose I still have mercy even in these darkening hours maybe I even have hope that keeps me using my powers but be warned the day is coming when I won't be able to hold them back and you'll be left with this battle so now's the time to plan your attack
