Note: Yes, we normally do Shameless Plug Saturdays on Saturdays. And it’s not like we haven’t been working, so don’t try to guilt trip us. But…we have nothing we can officially announce or promote…yet. Don’t get me wrong, unofficially, I’ll run my mouth all day long. But officially, I’m going to have to keep my ammo dry for a week or two…or three? before we start slinging some big announcements out there. In the meantime, hope you’re enjoying the podcast - we just featured our first immediate family member of a veteran and we’re about to feature our first Five Eyes veteran. Now back to the writing…
The adder's servant follows me.
He's always, rather near...
reminding me to prioritize
my life over my fears.
As a child, I almost drowned.
He followed me home that night.
I coughed up so much water, when
he landed and took a bite.
It scared me then, as a child
but brings me peace as a man;
the many iridescent colors
of my four-winged friend,
remind me, life's not shades of grey
It's colorfully, brilliantly, bright.
It's chaotic, but it's beautiful
like a dragonfly, in flight.
