I trace the outline of the L on my hand
That will forever write your name in the sand
The crashing of the waves upon the shore
The water hitting the sand makes me think of you more
How our lives crashed together without choice
A force of nature from the moment I heard your voice
You’re the tide that draws me closer to the deep
In your depths my heart you will keep
As I drown in you without a fight
The words flow through me for you who I write
Upon the sand as the waves wash it away
Here forever in my heart you will stay
