Abhorrent, destructive, elusive, odious The will to destroy human life And manipulate cultural appropriations Efforts of subversion Go unnoticed by the masses A perversion of morals Affliction of allegiance Storm the walls, breach the fortress Until the corpses flood the moat Alliances are twisted Bonds shattered like bone The King turns to see the knife Entering his abdomen A sly grin from a former friend No apologies are spoken Just the gurgling of blood filled lungs He falls in a heap Disappointed in his valiant reign
Native Rhode Islander and self-proclaimed Renaissance Man, Iraq veteran Benjamin Fortier is a multi-talented writer, musician, and technology geek. He is currently in school (again) studying computer networking and cybersecurity. His day job is in service to his rescue dog, Princess Peppa Pig the American Bully.
