She doesn’t like storms.
I keep pulling her
toward
them;
like I’d do for anyone;
everyone.
Maybe that’s why…
It’s not my storm
nor theirs.
She keeps pulling;
back.
While I keep pressing;
forward.
Silent.
I’m not watching
I’m not;
looking back.
Is there an absence?
Am I loveless
in the ways in which
I guide?
