I watched the declination of my society through poverty
Not in color or religion
But in bars and casinos
In obesity and depression
Washed down in alcoholism
That in a field of virtual interaction
Nothing concrete
Just phrases
And electronic affection
Slowly
They declined down
To no-where
In a place
Molded by divorce
And recession
Steel walls built up to keep out
What we hated
Or didn’t want to face
Running never facing
Constantly erasing or blocking
Things that can not be seen
I watched my world fade
Into nothing but
words on a screen
