God knows I'm no perfect servant.
Hell. I know I'm not even close,
but I have heard a rumor that
my God confidently boasts
of a good and faithful servant
who does not understand his worth
so God's giving him some trials,
building to his purpose, on earth.
And his son, just is not getting it
he's failing to understand
that all his pain and suffering
is for the betterment, of man...
so others may, one day, observe
the bereavement he was put through
and seeing that, he made it out...
then they might have faith too.
Because life is always hectic.
It's hard enough, to survive...
and, not one of us will have
anything worldly, once we've died.
So perhaps our only purpose,
He whispered, as I prayed...
was to be a good enough example,
that others might be saved.
I know that I have faltered,
all to often, fallen short,
and all my many failings
leave me so full of remorse.
But I'm trying to stay honest,
I want, only, to speak the truth,
so that the hurt and suffering
can find the peace I do, in You.
